It’s Mardi Gras Season in New Orleans! Time to throw on your green, gold & purple- heck, time to give your kitchen the Mardi Gras Mambo remodel, too! Our designers at Huey Brown Kitchens came up with this Mardi Gras Mambo mood board to REALLY get us ready for the season. They delivered the essence of Mardi Gras into this space by incorporating our favorite colors, textures & finishes.
Starting with the backsplash, our designers at Huey Brown Kitchens went with the Soho Tile: Aqueous Calabasus Glass. This tile screams Mardi Gras! From the blend of gold, purple and green, to the sparkly finish of the backsplash- we love everything about this selection. We also love how each individual tile is a little different than the next, which reminds us of the unique variety of parade floats traveling down St.Charles.
Our designers also made an intentional choice with the carpet selection. They chose the Kane Carpet: Ovieto Deco in Torrent. Obviously, the purple in this carpet was a great choice for the Mardi Gras Mambo mood board, but we also love how unsystematic each purple square is placed, as they carpet almost resemble a birds eye view of the parade crowd. To blend all of the design elements together, our designers chose the Designer’s Choice Cabinets: Ximena in Midnight Grey. This grey cabinet is beautiful, yet simple enough not to take away from the bold backsplash and carpet selections. Finally, to top off the cabinet, they chose the Atlas Hardware: Steam Punk. Gold hardware was a wise choice, as it perfectly brings together the backsplash, carpet and cabinets.
